I’ve requested for Protection as the Unsourced Changes are ongoing and daily including today. There is constant Vandalism including calling Pakistanis ‘terrorists’ which surely goes against every single Wikipedia policy. These articles are read by a large amount of people daily and leaving it Unprotected will cause further Vandalism and Abuse. Current requests for reduction in protection level

Request unprotection of a page, or reducing the protection level

Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.

  • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
  • Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
  • Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
  • If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.

Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Current requests for edits to a protected page

Request a specific edit to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here

Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.

  • Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
  • Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the {{Edit COI}} template should be used.
  • Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
  • If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
  • This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

Requests for autopatrolled

Autopatrolled

I am autopatrolled and an NPP reviewer; I would actually like to nominate User:Kjansen86 to be autopatrolled. I just reviewed and cheerfully accepted almost a dozen perfectly-formulated articles on Zoroastrian texts, and they have made more than 25 overall. Looking at their talk page, this appears to be an experienced and effective editor. Checking their AfD stats, I find one (successful) AfD that they initiated, indicating an awareness of notability. We may as well take them out of the NPP backlog. (This is my first time nominating someone else so if I did it wrong, please let me know!) ~ L 🌸 (talk) 21:17, 16 April 2025 (UTC)

Already done (automated response): This user already has the "autoreviewer" user right. MusikBot talk 21:20, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
@LEvalyn: I went ahead and adjusted the nomination so it reflects who's actually being discussed, hope you don't mind! For future reference, you can use the "add request" link at the top of this page and replace the {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} with whichever user you're nominating. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 21:42, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
Thank you, I really appreciate your fix for this nomination and your tip for next time! ~ L 🌸 (talk) 23:01, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
@LEvalyn: Thank you very much for the positive evaluation of my work on Wikipedia. I really appreciate it. Kjansen86 (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I have created over 30 articles, none of which have been deleted. I am well-versed in Wikipedia's notability guidelines and currently assist new Burmese editors. I focus on creating articles related to Myanmar that need to be written, including those covering current events. Granting me autopatrolled rights would help reduce the backlog of articles awaiting review. Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. Thank you for your consideration. Hteiktinhein (talk) 14:43, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment) At the pace this editor is creating, I would expect granting the flag to help reduce the backlog. These are solid articles; talk pages are created, which helps as well. I am AGF'ing on the Burmese language sources but have no concerns. @Hteiktinhein, a couple nits: on Padein Prince rebellion, the section of "Members" with an unexplained bulleted list is a bit confusing, and on Thetpan Mibaya, the "see also" section should go above the references section per MOS:LAYOUT. But these are just small things to keep in mind for the future. Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:51, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
@Dclemens1971 Thank you very much for your kind comment on my contributions. I plan to continue creating more content related to Burmese history, especially topics that are still missing from the English Wikipedia.
Although access to Wikipedia has been banned in Myanmar across all language versions, I am able to contribute using the ipblock-exempt right.
Please don't worry about the Burmese-language sources — I have substantial knowledge of Burmese history, particularly the Konbaung era, and I have access to both online and offline versions of the Konbaung Chronicle and other historical texts. I appreciate your helpful notes regarding some minor issues in my articles, such as the structuring of See also sections and now fixed, and I'll certainly keep them in mind going forward. Best regards. Hteiktinhein (talk) 16:50, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello, may I ask what the issue is? There doesn’t seem to be any problem on my side, and all the other users who applied at the same time have already been granted the rights. Why am I the only one delayed? Hteiktinhein (talk) 03:04, 18 May 2025 (UTC)

Hallo! I've created 46 articles, and have been editing Wikipedia since 2010. How time flies! merlinVtwelve (talk) 20:52, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment) Reviewed the last several articles, and while your grasp of notability is strong, I did find an instance of WP:CLOP on your most recent creation that is very close to the line of copyvio if not over it. See Copyvio Detector results. This article is otherwise very well done! Two other things to consider when creating articles: create talk pages (the WP:RATER tool is helpful here) and make sure at least one other page links to yours. If you were to be autopatrolled, orphaned pages would likely stay orphaned longer. Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:19, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
Hi @Dclemens1971thanks for the review!. I'll revisit those sections and re-word them. Will keep an eye on WP:CLOP and linked pages in future. Will check out WP:RATER also. Cheers, merlinVtwelve (talk) 06:03, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I have created 118 pages and would like to have autopatrol rights, please. Thanks. Phantomdj (talk) 01:46, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment) I reviewed @Phantomdj's last 10 article creations, and they are overall quite good. Well-formatted, clean copy. They all appear to be compliant with WP:NASTRO. It would be helpful if they could create talk pages for their creations (the WP:RATER tool is helpful for this) but otherwise I think the project would benefit from Phantomdj being autopatrolled. Dclemens1971 (talk) 22:56, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
Done thank you Dclemens1971 for the notes! If you run into any issues please feel free to reach out, I'll review your edits over the next 30 days and if there are issues I'll let you know. Dr vulpes (Talk) 06:01, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

I am autopatrolled and a trial NPP reviewer nominating Butters.From.SouthPark to be autopatrolled. The 524th editor by article creations (1435 live), this user's extensive work on articles of American football, basketball, and baseball players is highly appreciated. All ten of their most recent article creations and eight articles that I have drawn at random all demonstrate WP:ATHLETE/WP:NSEASONS notability and follow WP:BLP policy. In the seven instances of their pages created being deleted, two were later recreated, one was effectively recreated at Andre Jones Jr. after WP:G8 deletion, and two were deleted under WP:G7. Though I agree with Liz for PRODing Clemson–Ohio State football rivalry over low notability as a distinct topic, the Dayton Daily News has recognized that all four match-ups of this pair were significant (link). Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kai Jurgle is the only instance of article creation that clearly failed WP:GNG, but that can be forgiven for occurring within their first month here. They have no AfD participation to assess their judgement of others' content, but since this permission only affects the supervision of their creations, that seems fine.  Done if you run into any problems please feel free to reach out. I will review your work in ~30 days and if there are any issues I'll let you know. This is not to say that I don't believe you'll do something wrong, more just a check in to make sure everything is going smoothly. Dr vulpes (Talk) 06:00, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I have started 300+ pages and have been editing for over three and a half years consistently. Early on, I struggled with notability, but I have since demonstrated an understanding for the notability guidelines. I would like to have autopatrol rights, please. Thanks, Bulldawg (talk) 06:48, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

I have created a large number of articles, all without any significant issues. Another user proposed on my talk page that I request to be Autopatrolled. Throughthemind (talk) 15:10, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

I would like to do repitative tasks such as adding wikilinks, fixing typos, etc Warriorglance(talk to me) 06:32, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi. I intend to use AWB to assist with repetitive but useful maintenance tasks such as fixing common formatting issues, updating templates, correcting typos, and performing category cleanups. Similarly, I have also reviewed the guidelines and will ensure all edits follow Wikipedia policies. I am also familiar with Wikipedia editing conventions and have made constructive edits. Thank you for considering my request and I hope for positive response. Fade258 (talk) 13:24, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

You've requested three different permissions in a week. That looks a lot like WP:Hat collecting. Do you really expect to use all of these? * Pppery * it has begun... 21:45, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Hi @Pppery, Well, You're right to ask. I understand concerns about hat collecting. I had requested these permissions because I have specific or immediate plans to use each permission that I have in more frequently, policy based and in constructive manner. If you'd like, I can explain how I intend to apply each permission in current areas where I'm active. I'm not interested in collecting rights for my own sake only as I intend to help where there's a clear need. Thank You for reviewing my request. Fade258 (talk) 13:03, 15 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I don't edit on the English Wikipedia, but I am asking for the rights so I can use it on the Macedonian Wikipedia so I can fix frequent typos, grammatical errors, update templates, and many other things (but mostly for time-consuming repetitive tasks). I am autopatrolled and have over 6,000 edits and have been a member for close to 8 years. Thank you for taking your time to read this, and have a pleasant day/evening/night. Jtasevski123 (talk) 12:08, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

@Jtasevski123: This page is only for asking permission to AWB on English Wikipedia. Each wiki has its own structure to allow use of AWB. As far as I can see, mk wikipedia does not have a local AWB CheckPage. So, you may use AWB without restrictions, however, consulting with the admins there before using AWB might be more preferable. Requests for new page reviewer

New page reviewer

I’d like to request the New Page Reviewer right. I meet the criteria and have experience with article creation and deletion processes. Previously, I had a request declined as I applied for several rights at once—I understand this was seen as hat collecting. This time, my intent is focused: I’d like to help with the backlog and review pages containing promotional or disruptive content. Jesus isGreat7 ☾⋆ | Ping Me 18:08, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

JesusisGreat7, I noticed that as part of your userboxes you include User:LeapofAzzam/Userboxes/ChatGPT. Could you speak briefly to the extent you have or haven't used ChatGPT on Wikipedia? signed, Rosguill talk 15:22, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
Hey @Rosguill, it’s true that I listed the userbox while just scrolling to find userboxes, especially on the sites I use or visit often, basically to indicate the sites I’ve used or use regularly, mainly for research! I know AI tends to add emotive and promotional tones when writing articles, which goes against the guidelines! Jesus isGreat7 ☾⋆ | Ping Me 15:29, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick response. I'm honestly on the fence overall about conferring a trial run at this time and will leave this for another admin to give a further opinion. signed, Rosguill talk 15:39, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
@Rosguill Thanks! Jesus isGreat7 ☾⋆ | Ping Me 15:43, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
Ok, having seen Special:Diff/1291114962 , I'm going to go ahead and mark this as  Not done, as the additional sources do not provide WP:SIGCOV of Pakistan-Burundi relations. Genuinely notable bilateral relations have extensive coverage along the lines of [2], [3]. I don't want to mix up administrative and editorial tasks, and I'm not terribly concerned about the state of Burundi–Pakistan relations in the grand scheme of things, so I don't intend to edit that article further or nominate it for deletion, but I do think that this edit demonstrates a lack of understanding of relevant guidelines for new page reviewing. signed, Rosguill talk 13:06, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
@Rosguill, I just wanted to clarify the reasoning behind my edit to the Burundi–Pakistan relations article. At the time, I was aware that the article needed more comprehensive secondary sources to meet notability standards. However, I wasn’t planning to significantly expand or restructure the page at that moment, so I limited my contribution to referencing a specific statement with a source that matched it—mainly to ensure there was at least some citation coverage without taking on a broader editorial role.
For transparency, the edit I made is here: [1].[1] Which was used to support the claim which says, that the 2 nations don't have any operating diplomatic missions!!
I know that the example source I added isn't enough to demonstrate the editorial discretion expected for new page reviewers, especially in terms of applying WP:SIGCOV. I haven't finished updating it, and still finding example sources as you gave, Thanks for observing deeply, I know I did a mistake removing the tags too early, Sorry! Now Since I failed to demostrate my potential,I really don't have much expectations, but still I will wait for your feedback upon it. Jesus isGreat7 ☾⋆ | Ping Me 15:09, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
I think you should try applying again in a few months, and I'd encourage participating in WP:AFD discussions, as this is a good way to both sharpen and demonstrate your understanding of the relevant guidelines. signed, Rosguill talk 16:01, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

For tangentially related details, I have a 98.9% AfD match rate, have made 63,500+ edits, and have been editing for a couple years now and am familiar with the page move policy and guidelines. Iljhgtn (talk) 20:15, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

@Iljhgtn even though the permission gives you the technical ability to move categories, category moves should still go through WP:CFD/WP:CFDS. Do you have uses for the permission other than moving categories? Elli (talk | contribs) 02:44, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
Sure, for helping draftify of new articles etc. Iljhgtn (talk) 03:24, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
The scripts: User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft and User:Mr. Stradivarius/gadgets/Draftify both look like they would be particularly useful. Iljhgtn (talk) 19:31, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
Not done per lack of demonstrated need (since you have only ever moved one page to draftspace and commented in one CfD). @Iljhgtn: You can still use MoveToDraft with no additional work for you, as it will automatically request speedy deletion. JensonSL (SilverLocust) 03:06, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
The first demonstrated need was the category move component, only secondarily did I mention what you cite as the reason for declining..... Iljhgtn (talk) 13:47, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
As Elli noted, and as explained at Wikipedia:Page mover § move-categorypages, category moves should be requested at CFD/CFDS, not done boldly by pagemovers or admins. And in my comment above I noted that you have only ever commented in one CFD. JensonSL (SilverLocust) 22:40, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Good day,

When reviewing pages, I frequently encounter situations such that this permission would be useful or necessary. These include redirect suppression when draftifying to reduce the number of R2s needed and the ability to move pages over single-revision redirects when accepting AFC drafts, which can occasionally present a barrier. I would also like to help with uncontroversial category and technical moves. I meet the WP:PMCRITERIA and believe I have a demonstrated both a need for the permissions and an understanding of the associated guidelines. Garsh (talk) 17:55, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

@Garsh2: I'd grant this based on your NPR and AfC purposes, but if you want to help with with category and technical moves (which are generally not revertible by non-pagemovers), you should first have some experience participating in CfD and RMs respectively. JensonSL (SilverLocust) 03:44, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
@SilverLocust: Understood. I will not touch those types of moves (even with the permission) until I gain experience in those areas. Garsh (talk) 16:49, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
Done initially for 3 months. JensonSL (SilverLocust) 22:28, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
I've found myself making semi-regular requests at WP:RM/TR (7 in the last two years, 13 overall). I feel like this is one of the things I could just handle myself instead of bothering others with, and could potentially help out with as I see fit. I don't currently plan on closing any RM discussions, but I am very familiar with WP:NCTV, which is my main topic area, that I rarely branch out out of, and the general policy laid out at WP:NC. Requests for pending changes reviewer

Pending changes reviewer

I would like to have the pending changes reviewer right so that I can help fight vandalism and deal with pending changes backlogs. I revert vandalism and other inappropriate edits when I come across them when I'm recent changes patrolling or viewing my watchlist. I also believe that I meet the WP:PCCRITERIA. Thanks for considering my request. Opm581 (talk | he/him) 23:45, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

Requests for rollback

Rollback

Reason for requesting rollback rights. Have undone multiple vandalism attempts on K. Chandrashekar Rao and Revanth Reddy. Having the rollback permission will be helpful to quickly revert multiple edits. Skratata69 (talk) 17:17, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I will love to request for the rollback permission so I can help fight against vandalism and revert unconstructive edits, I’m also interested to use the wp:ANVDL tool to detect vandalism more easily. I believe meet the requirements and I took the feedbacks after my last request was declined over the last 1 month, I’ve been actively patrolling recent changes since then and I’m here again. Pinging Aoidh, I’ll love your take, I’ve been waiting patiently too, I’ve improved over the last month and have been explaining reasons for my revert and warn editors. An admin should please evaluate my request so I can continue what I love doing. Chippla ✍️ - Best Regards 23:36, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Hey there :3

I'm looking for rollback perms so I can speed up my vandal reversion by using tools such as huggle. I don't have any issues with RedWarn but my more experienced friends tell me that huggle is much nicer and faster to use. (Arachnid's userpage | what did I do now) 00:05, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Rollback would make it easier for me to revert vandalism. KnowDeath (talk) 02:44, 19 May 2025 (UTC) KnowDeath (talk) 02:44, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

I wish to receive rollback rights to use Wikipedia:Huggle, Wikipedia:AntiVandal and some others, with this permission I could revert vandalism so much faster. Shahin (talk) 10:08, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

I respectfully request the rollback right to enhance my anti-vandalism efforts on Wikipedia. My monitoring of recent changes has enabled me to effectively identify and revert disruptive edits. The rollback feature would increase the efficiency of my contributions and help maintain content integrity. I understand the responsibilities of this privilege and will adhere strictly to Wikipedia's guidelines. VeritasVanguard 13:51, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
