Removing MTX-based coexpression showed dominant influence on the performance of FUGAsseM to predict new annotations that accumulated experimental evidence over time for (a) Biological Processes, (b) Molecular Functions, and (c) Cellular Components. Averaged AUROC of each term was calculated across the HMP2 species used in this study. The top 25 GO terms with the highest average AUROC across species and methods are shown (or all available terms if fewer than 25 are present).
