Museum of Disability History & Kornreich Institute for Disabilities Studies
The Museum of Disability History will be housed within the Kornreich Institute for Disabilities Studies (KIDS) at The Viscardi Center. Relocating from Buffalo, NY, it is set to open fall 2025 and be a place to curate disability history, disability culture, and disability identity. The goal of KIDS is to inform, educate, inspire and entertain. Its museum-style content, oral history components, and interactive technology will teach disabled and nondisabled youth and adults about the disability experience and facilitate increased awareness about the accomplishments of people with disabilities. Watch for more announcements about this new venture.
