Description
These folders will allow your students to keep track of their assessments/test scores, understand their levels and abilities, and practice how to graph and record data at the same time! These Student Accountability Files will accomplish this objective and do so in a fun way!
Whether we like it or not, assessments and standardized tests are becoming more and more critical for students, teachers, and schools. Our students will have the most success possible by knowing how they are performing and what is expected of them.
The folders are designed with a "Secret Agent" theme to get the students interested and to have some fun. This means that there is a cover sheet for the folder displaying its "Top Secret" nature, a letter with the students' "mission objectives", and a glossary of terms used in the letter.
This packet includes everything you'll need to have the students track their progress, set their goals, learn new vocabulary, and practice their graphing. Here is a complete list of everything in this packet:
-a "Top Secret" cover sheet for your Student Accountability File
-a letter to the “Agent” (student) explaining their mission (an additional letter with the ‘date’ and ‘from’ left blank is included)
-an “Agent” glossary of terms used in the letter
-a spelling graph and spelling table
-DRA, Lexile, and Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading chart
-addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division “Mad Minute”/Fact Tracking chart
-a math graph
-2 different types of recording sheets for Acuity test scores
-2 different types of recording sheets for NWEA test scores
-a vocabulary graph and table
-a horizontal and vertical bar graph with the title left off so you or students can fill in the subject/test of your choice
-a bar graph in which the title and labels have been left off so you or students can set-up the graph to your preferences
This is a year long activity that will keep your students (and their parents) apprised of the student's progress. Your students will never be unaware of how they are performing and what is expected of them. I also use it as a tool during parent conferences and the parents are always impressed!
