Types of Angles
Angle
If two rays have an
common end point they form
an angle .
The two rays forming an
angle are called the arms of
the angle . The common end
point is called a vertex of the
angle .
Types of angles
Depending on the
position of the arms ,there are
different types of angles .
Let's learn about them...
Types of Angles
There are 6 Types of angles:
 Acute angle.
 Right angle.
 Obtuse angle.
 Straight angle.
 Reflex angle.
 Complete angle.
Acute angle
An angle whose
measure is more than 0°
but less 90° is called an
acute angle
.
Example : 30°, 45°,etc
Acute angle
Example:
0°<55°<90°
Examples for acute angleExamples for acute angle
Right angle
An angle whose measure is 90°
is called a right angle .
Example :90°
Other examples for right angle
Obtuse angle
An angle whose measure is
greater than 90°and less than
180° is called an obtuse angle .
Example :100°,160°, etc
Other examples for obtuse angle:
Straight angle
An angle whose measure is
180° is called a straight angle.
Example :180°

Reflex angle
An angle whose
measure is greater than
180° and less than 360° is
called reflex angle .
Example :230°, 320°
Reflex angle
Examples:
Complete angle
When the arms take
the complete turn then the
angle of measure 360° is
formed . This type of angle is
called a complete angle .
Complete rotation
