- 5. Diagonal lines Diagonal lines-lines that slant
- 6. Zigzag lines Zig-zag lines-lnes made from a combination of diagonal lines
- 7. Curved lines Curved lines-Lines that change direction gradually
- 8. PROPERTIES OF LINE Length - lines can be long or short Width- lines can be wide or skinny Texture - lines can be rough or smooth Direction - lines can move in any direction
- 9. The Elements- "Shape"and "Form" • Shape- an element of art that is a two- dimensional area that is defined in some way. A shape may have an outline around it or you may recognize it by its area.
- 10. Geometric shapes • Geometricshapes- precise shapes that can be described using mathematical formulas. Ex. Circle, square, triangle, oval, rectangle, parallelogram, trapezoid, pentagon, pentagram, hexagon, and octagon.
