A Stepwise Guide to Add andConfigure a Product in Magento.

Log in to admin panel by entering username and password

In the admin panel, locate and click on ‘catalog’
button on top left hand side of menu bar. A drop
down menu will appear.

Select ‘manage product’ from the drop down
menu.

Click on ‘add product’ option in ‘manage
product’ page.

In create product settings, choose default against
attribute setting and choose simple product
against product type.

Select ‘general’ section from product information.
Fill in the product specifications accordingly.

Similarly, select ‘prices’ section and quote the
price for that product.

Select ‘image’ section and upload a corresponding
image from your system.

Select ‘inventory’ section for managing the
quantity of product and whether it's in stock or
not.

Select ‘categories’ section and assign a category to
the added product. For example, samsung galaxy
note 4 will be placed in smartphone category.

Click on ‘save’ button on top right hand corner of
the page. Your product has been successfully
added.
