Seattle-based RootMetrics® ranked AT&T highest for combined/overall voice, data and text network performance in Akron. The RootMetrics®wireless network performance study for Akron named AT&T as the overall RootMetrics RootScore® Award winner for its combination of call, text and mobile Internet performance. The RootMetrics award is based on analysis of more than 18,673 wireless test calls, texts and data transmissions conducted during November, 2013. This study is the third consecutive RootMetrics study for Akron in which AT&T ranked highest. “AT&T was ranked highest inour November, 2013 tests of overall network performance in the Akron area. Our overall RootScore Award looks at call, data and text performance across all data network technologies, including 4G LTE. We look at performance from a consumer’s point of view, and AT&T offered a very strong overall performance for those in Akron during our tests,” said Bill Moore, president and CEO of RootMetrics. AT&T launched 4G LTE**in Akron in April, 2012.It plans to expand its 4G LTE network to cover 300 million people nationwide by year-end 2014.
