Curated database which has been constructed via literature mining followed by manual
curation of information gathered from specialized books on traditional indian medicine,
more than 7000 abstracts of published research articles and other existing database
resources.
The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Department of AYUSH, Ministry of
Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, is an apex national body that was set up
in November 2000 to co-ordinate all matters relating to medicinal plants in the country;
to act as advisory body to the concerned ministries, Departments and Agencies in
strategic planning of medicinal plant related initiatives; and to plan and support
programmes relating to conservation and development of medicinal plants.

 230 patent applications have either been set aside/ withdrawn/ amended.
 TKDL is proving to be an effective deterrent against bio-piracy and has
been recognized internationally as a unique effort.

 Shodhganga provides a platform for research scholars to deposit
their Ph.D. theses and make it available to the entire scholarly
community in open access. The repository has the ability to capture,
index, store, disseminate and preserve ETDs (Electronic Theses and
Dissertations) submitted by the researchers.
 The UGC Notification (Minimum Standards & Procedure for Award
