This document discusses how an organization implemented imaging capabilities within their PeopleSoft Expenses system to create a paperless expense reporting process. Key points: 1) Previously, expense reports were created and approved online but paper receipts were still required to be submitted. Imaging was implemented to scan and index receipts to the appropriate expense reports. 2) This allowed receipts to be accessed online through a link from the expense report. It reduced paper handling and storage costs while expediting the reimbursement process. 3) Additional improvements included assigning risk factors to reports to determine the level of audit needed, and enabling auditors to view receipts online rather than rehandling paper. This created a more efficient expense management system
