WWII US Army Class A Visor Cap. Originally issued for wear by all US Army personnel serving in the US, as WWII gained momentum, more and more troops were moving to and fro, the cumbersome nature of the visor cap was fully realized, and by 1945, it was only worn for very special occasions, as it had been mostly replaced by the garrison cap. During the Korean War, the visor cap is almost never seen being worn alongside the "Ike-style" uniforms.
