Beautiful and delicate silhouette cameo brooch by Giovanni Apa has a loop that can be unfolded to hang a necklace. This elegant cameo is intricately hand carved in carnelian shell and features a lovely Victorian lady with a flower on her shoulder and pendant earring. Her hair is done up in stylish curls with bow. The superbly rendered image is decorated with gold vermeil beading trim over silver. The frame is marked on the back 900 for silver. This gorgeous cameo comes in its cotton-lined original Giovanni Apa box from Torre del Greco, Italy. I have pictured it with rings (not included) to give you and idea of its size. It is in very good condition with both clasp and necklace loop working well. There is wear of the gold vermeil in some areas. I have left its natural beautiful patina intact.
