Black silk chiffon short sleeve shift dress, ca. 1925. Origin: France. Antique dress with white glass bugle bead design and fringe; paired with a matching black silk satin slip. Unlabeled. The overall condition is very good structurally with the back neckline tie worn and slightly fraying and some minor bead loss on the front bodice at waist and fringe strands. There are some small holes on the side seams near the dropped waist gathers and the left side seam has some popped stitches. The slip has large areas of discoloration, predominately in the upper bodice and the left side snap closures have verdigris and are loose on the top two snaps. The decoration is not included.
