"The Tahquamenon River plunges 48th over a 200 ft wide crest at the Upper Falls. Four miles downstream it divides forming an island near the Lower Falls. A short rowboat trip to the island provides close up views of the tumbling, cascading Lower Falls which surround the island. Tahquamenon Falls is one of the Upper Peninsula's premier attractions and is locatd in the Tahquamenon Falls State Park between Newberry and Paradise, Michigan."
