Traditional Russian Solyanka Ingredients: 1 lb (450g) beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 large onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 large carrot, diced 1 red bell pepper, chopped 1/4 cup tomato paste 4 cups beef broth 1 cup pickles, diced 1/4 cup pickle juice 2 tablespoons capers 1/4 cup pitted black olives, sliced 1/4 cup pitted green olives, sliced 2 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Salt to taste Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish) Lemon slices (for serving) Sour cream (optional, for serving) Directions: Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
