I enjoyed my visit to Perdenales Falls. The falls were beautiful and the area much larger than I imagined. Pedernales Falls State Park is located 10 miles (16 km) east of Johnson City. The park is on the Pedernales River, 14 miles southwest of the river's mouth at Lake Travis. It wasn't very busy when we arrived at the park and there were several available parking spaces.
