Section of nineteenth-century wallpaper from a closet in the Yellow Bedchamber at Strawberry Hill, Twickenham.The house was built between 1749 to 1776 for Horace Walpole with William Robinson, and later James Essex as executive architects. The design was developed by the 'committee of taste', Richard Bentley, John Chute, and Walpole himself.
