This is a digital download for the Modern and Mint Dust Collector plans. Included in the sale is a highly detailed instruction manual that includes a purchase list (with potential vendors), a "tools used" list, tons of information about how to go about assembling all of the pieces to end up with a very compact dust collection unit, and a list of modifications that other builders have made. Below you will find a few details about the build. - The entire build is on casters, and has a small workshop footprint measuring in at 22" x 33". This is the same footprint as the Harbor Freight 2hp Dust Collector. - This system is a two-stage dust collection system. Two-Stage dust collection systems filter more effectively and efficiently. - The Wynn Environmental Filter recommended for this build filters down to 0.5 microns and has over 200 square feet of filter! Many dust collectors only filter to 2 microns. What this translates into is less dust in your lungs and around the shop. Since I've started using this, I can tell the air quality in my shop has improved. - This design allows the filter to be removed for cleaning. - This is an entirely bagless system. No more frustration from ripped bags, and added simplicity. The purchase list included provides tips for locating your items to limit the time you spend the shopping for these items. From time to time, I get questions about what it would cost to build the dust collector. I wish I could give a "This dust collector will cost this amount" answer, the truth is that the cost of the build is highly variable depending on access to resources, shipping costs, taxes, inflation, lumber costs, and modifications made to the build. Unfortunately, I have no say in how these items are priced. I have heard of estimates ranging from $750 - $1000 to build the dust collection system. When designing and sourcing materials, I worked to be as effective as possible, and the plans are full of tips and tricks for sourcing parts.
