PRICE IS PER BALUSTER "Good quality, and excellent workmanship" 35" tall Lancaster design flat-sawn stairway baluster. Historic reproduction that is precision cut from White Pine (not for exterior use), Select Tight Knot Cedar (STK), or Cypress Select Grade Great for historic and contemporary homes. Order one as a sample or the quantity needed for your project. Each baluster measures: 35" H x 5.5" W x 0.75" D When installed with my Cypress top and bottom rail sets, assembled heights are as follows: - With 3.5" between the deck and bottom rail, the assembled height is approximately 44.5" - With the max of 3.75" between the deck and bottom rail, the assembled is approximately 44.75" A 4" sphere should not be able to pass through any part of the rail system. If you require a shorter assembled height, the same amount of wood can be trimmed from the top and bottom of the baluster. All stairway balusters have extra uncut wood at the top and bottom to allow for the cut of the stairway's angle or if you need a taller assembled height for your porch or deck railing. There is more uncut wood at the bottom of the baluster. This design is also available in a 27.5" porch and deck baluster. It has the same cut-out pattern and proportions as the 35" stairway balusters, with less uncut wood at the top and bottom.
