A talented Japanese painter from Fukushima known for his beautiful artwork. He was a student of Kawabata Gyokusho and later mastered the techniques of the Maruyama school. He participated in various exhibitions and received numerous awards. He presented a fierce tiger painting to Emperor Meiji during his visit to the Tohoku region and was honored with the Meiji Emperor Commemorative Wood Cup at the Taisho Exhibition. He passed away in 1929 at the age of 51.
