Intended as a wall-mount cabinet, this unit mounts to your wall with either the metal hanging brackets attached, or through holes drilled in the interior corner blocks (recommended), with your mounting hardware. (Please remove the metal hanging brackets if you intend to mount the unit to the wall through the pilot holes in the corner blocks.)PLEASE NOTE that we do not supply the hardware required to attach the unit to the wall. You will need to determine the required hardware based on the weight of the unit (approx 56 lbs) and the type of wall to which it is being mounted. The pilot holes drilled in the corner blocks are 1/8", with a 5/16" countersink opening.Bi-fold doors allow easy access to the TV, and the unit is 76" wide with the doors open and in the folded position. (Please note that the doors do not lay flat against the sides of the unit.)Shown with a 46" flat screen TV (measuring 42-1/2 W x 27 H), this unit accommodates wall-mounted flat screen TVs up to 51 W x 32 H x 7 D, or 43 W x 36 H x 6 D. (Mounting blocks at the back of the top interior corners make the unit only 43 W between the blocks at the very top.)If setting the TV inside the cabinet (rather than mounting the TV to the wall), the unit is only 6 D at the interior bottom. We do not recommend mounting the unit to the wall if you intend to set the TV inside the unit, but rather placing the unit on top of a floor cabinet. Wall-mount of TV is recommended with this unit.To use the unit as-is, your TV must be mounted to the wall, with all wiring housed within the wall. If your wiring will run down the outside of the wall, you must request that we drill a hole in the bottom of the unit so that the wires can pass through.
