Custard Strawberry Puff Pastries- these got me speechless 😋😋
Ingredients:
14 oz @dufourpastrykitchens puff pastry
2 tbs flour, to dust surface
8 oz @driscollsberry strawberries
1 tbs sugar
Mint leaves
Powdered sugar
2 tbs coarse sugar
Custard:
3 egg yolks
2 tbs cornstarch
1 cup warm milk
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbs butter
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste/extract
Egg wash;
1 egg
1 tsp water
Method:
1. Whisk egg yolks with sugar and vanilla, add cornstarch, mix and slowly pour in warm milk; transfer to the stove top over medium- low heat and stir until it thickens; turn the heat off and add butter; add to a piping bag and place in the fridge to cool;
2. Preheat oven at 400 F;
