Bunker No1
Brackla in Bridgend was originally a Royal Ordnance factory and had 8 Underground bunkers built to store amuunitions, Known as the 8 X's. In the 60's 2 of the 8 X's were taken over by the Home Office and converted into Nuclear Bunkers to act as the Regional Government HQ for Wales. (RGHQ). The two nuclear bunkers were modified to have Nuclear Proof entrances and the ammunition tunnels changed to accomodation and offices.
