Magic Dough (measured in cups):
2 cups warm water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp active dry yeast
Preparation Method:
In a bowl, mix 2 cups of warm water with 2 cups of flour, 1 tbsp of sugar, and 1 tbsp of yeast. Combine well, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size.
Once the mixture has risen, add 1/2 cup of oil, salt, and 3 more cups of flour. Knead until you have a soft dough. Dust with flour and shape into disks, the size you prefer.
Roll out each disk very thinly. Cook each tortilla on a hot skillet, flipping multiple times to ensure even cooking, but don't let it cook too long as you'll be cooking it again later. (Tip: Once cooked, place tortillas in plastic wrap to keep them from drying out.)
