www.zakka81.com.au/?p=861 This is one of a very unique art kokeshi!! Omusubi meaning “rice-ball” and hitoyuki meaning “a snow”. In old days we (Japanese) were using the bamboo skin for wrap the rice balls, exactly like this kokeshi.This black and white crushed stones are to represent the salt and black sesame. Typical rice ball recipe!!
