Stahlhelm (German: steel helmet) is an infantry helmet, which under this name is associated primarily with the German armed forces from 1916 to 1945. Having replaced the pickelhelm during the First World War, the stalhelm later became one of the most recognizable attributes of Wehrmacht soldiers.
