This non-representational work of art depicts a strong sense of movement. The symmetrical aspect in which the toothpicks are adhered create a flowing organic implied line. This curved movement balances well with the vertical and pointed harsh toothpicks. The movement depicts a subtle and soft flow in comparison to the pointed and sharp use of materials. Overall, this student has a strong sense of balance and will to challenge themselves to depict a round object with the use of straight-edged materials.
