Cast from solid brass, hand polished, and then hand-brushed for a smooth satin finish. These handles will change over time with use, if you do not want this look then please apply a clear furniture wax periodically to prevent aging. These handles suit traditional antique furniture restoration & shaker-style kitchens. Knobs are sold complete with M4 fixing bolt & drawer pulls with matching brass wood screws. We do not lacquer our brass & bronze so these handles will naturally dull down and age over time. To keep clean wipe with a warm damp cloth and dry immediately, do not use any chemicals on brass or bronze handles as this will damage the finish. Drilling a hole too small could result in the screw being forced which could also result in snapped screw heads. Brass is a very soft metal which when forced can break easily, especially in hardwood cabinets. You can also apply a screw wax to the screw thread before installing to help guide the screw into the wood.
