Use a deck stain pad or brush for best results
DO NOT prepare the wood and apply stain when pollen is blanketing surfaces. Pollen is mold food.
Plan ahead - install replacement wood an appropriate amount of time needed for new wood to weather and improve stain absorption.
The day you stain wood is the best the wood will look. Get on a springtime staining schedule so wood looks its best during the months you will be using it most.
Test for color after wood preparation is completed as the preparation method used can affect the final color of a stain. Wait 48-72 hours for the final color.
