A genuine Georgian gold and silver mourning signet ring with a later added malachite stone circa 1800 - 1830. These early 19thC antique rings were expensive in their day and some couldn't afford solid gold. This ring is primarily sterling silver with some gold in the setting and the retaining ring is gold, tests as 14k - 15k. It has a hand-worked floral design around the band. The top of this size 6-1/4 or 6.25 ring retains the original gold bezel which originally usually held a glass section
