Candy Cane Cake Roll 🎄❤️ 

Cake Rolls have definitely become a new favorite of mine! They take a little of bit of practice but it’s always worth it in the end!

INGREDIENTS:

-6 large eggs, separated
 • -5 tbsp milk, room temperature
 • -4 tbsp vegetable oil
 • -1 tsp vanilla extract
 • -3/4 cup granulated sugar
 • -1 cup all purpose flour
 • -1 tsp baking powder
 • -red food coloring
 • -3-4 cups peppermint flavored frosting

Preheat the oven to 375F, and line a 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks into two mixing bowls.

Whisk the milk, oil, and vanilla into the bowl of egg yolks. Next, sift in the flour and baking powder. Whisk until combined and set aside.

It is really an easy cake to make if you just want to cover it in marzipan instead, but with just a few ingredients and only one bowl, it’s a yummy, simple dessert!

Recipe

175 grams room temp butter
175 grams sugar
150 grams cake flour
40 grams almond powder
2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
Splash of vanilla and almond extract
Coloring

Cream together butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well. Combine dry ingredients. Add half to greased pan. Color the other half and add to pan. Ingredients

50g granulated sugar

46g cake flour

32g vegetable oil

40g milk

3g lemon juice

Red bean paste or sweetened red beans

Steps

Separate the eggs. Mix vegetable oil and milk until well combined. Add in cake flour, mix until smooth. Add in 4 egg yolks, mix until smooth. Add in some vanilla extract (optional).

Add granulated sugar and lemon juice into the egg white, and use a hand mixer to beat until it forms soft peaks. Take a scoop of whipped egg white to mix with the batter until just combined. Pour all the batter back into the whipped egg white, mix until just combined.

Put the batter into a piping bag with piping tip. Pipe the batter into the lined baking tray (28*28cm). Preheat the oven to 302℉(150℃) and bake for 26 minutes.
