Three of my favorite transverse abdominal exercises aka “deep core”.  . Two things that are important when it comes to these exercises is BREATH and CONTROL. A breath (inhale or exhale) happens with every movement (ex: exhale lift, inhale lower). Moving with control and going at a slow tempo allows you to properly breathe and feel what you are feeling and where are you feeling (connection!!)  . Why training the core is so important? Core exercises train the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips and abdomen to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and stability, whether on the playing field or in daily activities. Your core muscles play a huge role in your everyday activities, from getting out of bed, to walking down the street, and bending over to grab your purse-but, most importantly, they literally help you stay upright.

It’s because your core muscles are the base of support for your entire body. 

The most important, is your transverse abdominis, which stabilizes your spine and pelvis. Then you have two layers of oblique muscles, which control lateral flexion (think a side bend), rotation, and other spinal movem
