Old Settlers Trail via Maddron Bald Trail is a strenuous hike only recommended for seasoned and fit hikers. This trail is 17.1 miles, one way, and has a number of elevation changes. Of course, there is always a payoff. Some hikers say this trail has the best historical structures of any in the park.
