I had a student who was found it very challenging to get beyond a disappointing event. This story was created with a popular special interest and tells a story of the pikman characters getting over their disappointment - using the CBT strategies of "vile thoughts" and "magical thoughts". In the end we talk about moving on with our thoughts and actions as well. This worked FABULOUSLY for my kiddo and I tend to make various similar stories based on this framework and my students love them. Gre
