Digital Services & Support Center

at The LAMP Campus

KC Digital Drive’s Digital Services & Support Center is a digital commons in KC’s east side and is ‘the place’ for people to come to get personal assistance and IT support, device training, digital skills training, and to help level up direct service agencies’ ability to offer digital literacy and digital navigation through trainings, workshops, and technical support at the DSSC.

What began as a collaboration with PCs for People and Linwood Property Inc, to provide place-based digital skills services at LAMP and continue the work PCs for People had conducted for nearly a decade, now serves as a robust digital support center for residents and nonprofits who serve the Ivanhoe, Key Coalition, New Hope neighborhoods in the Linwood area community. Today, the digital skills training offered at the highly visible LAMP Campus continues to enhance digital equity in KC’s 3rd district by increasing neighborhood resilience and sustainability in a digital-centric economy.

Our lead digital skills trainer is Carol Meyers, a veteran trainer and a trusted local tech guide. Carol’s presence at the center is longstanding and offers a vital resource that so many in the community have benefited and come to rely upon. Carol offers a regular series of classes at the campus, hosts open lab for drop-ins in the afternoons, and continues to expand on the curriculum and modality of training options to meet the needs of her clients, and the broader community.
