Together, let’s make FAO’s 80th anniversary an unforgettable year through collective action.
As we mark FAO’s 80th anniversary, we are launching a special series of stories that inspire change - stories of resilience, innovation, and hope. They tell of lands restored, biodiversity cherished, and oceans cared for; of collaboration that strengthens communities and nourishment that brings dignity and resilience.
FAO’s 80th anniversary is sparking a wave of celebration across the globe, with each region bringing its own stories, achievements, and spirit to this historic milestone. From historical exhibitions in Africa highlighting decades of partnership in food security and rural development, to Kyrgyzstan’s planting of 80 hectares of forest in honour of environmental sustainability, and Latin America and the Caribbean reflecting on a legacy of collective action for transformation, each initiative looks at FAO’s work with partners to achieve better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life for all.
