Rain moves into NYC area, making for wet morning commute Wednesday

New York City and the surrounding area saw a stretch of summer-like days to start October. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.

We've got a First Alert Weather Day on Wednesday, as rain returns with some weather whiplash.

Showers worked their way through this morning, with embedded bouts of moderate to heavy rain.

That said, the focus of the alert was during the morning commute, with the expectation that things would be a little slower on the roads.

Thankfully, the rain is starting to exit this afternoon, but don't expect the temperatures to recover — 70° if we're lucky.
