CSIC
Shared Support
Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) is the largest public institution dedicated to research in Spain, a huge organization consisting of more than a hundred research centers and institutes distributed nation-wide.
Membership discount for researchers at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC):
If you are an affiliated author from CSIC, and the corresponding author of the article that you would like to publish in BMC/SpringerOpen, you may be entitled to a discount on the article-processing charges (APC) when you submit your manuscript.
APCs will be partly paid by the CSIC Open Access Publication Support Initiative through its Unit of Information Resources for Research (URICI).
In order to qualify and receive the discount, please request a membership submission code from URICI. In order to obtain the code, you will be asked to fill in the following application form: https://intranet.csic.es/publicacion-en-acceso-abierto
The code should then be entered in section 3 of the submission process. Part of the article-processing charges will automatically be charged to URICI.
Your article must include a reference to the institutional support with the publication fee, e.g.: "We acknowledge support of the publication fee by the CSIC Open Access Publication Support Initiative through its Unit of Information Resources for Research (URICI)."
In addition, CSIC researchers commit themselves to making best efforts to disseminate their recent scientific outputs through the institutional repository DIGITAL.CSIC.
