Behance Trends highlight the evolving ways creatives are using the platform to showcase their work, including the formats they choose, the way they present their work, and the features they’re adopting to stand out.

1. Project as Portfolio

Creatives, especially those early in their careers, are crafting a single Behance project to capture their skill set, work experience, and case studies all in one place. This streamlined approach gives clients an immediate understanding of a designer’s capabilities, enabling them to quickly assess talent. These Projects as Portfolios complement full case studies, offering a clear and concise overview while giving clients the option to explore projects further in-depth.

When building a successful Project as Portfolio, focus on creating a strong layout and flow. Alternating between full-bleed images with other assets that showcase detailed close-ups creates contrast and rhythm. This balance not only keeps viewers engaged but also showcases the range and quality of your work.

2. Designed to Move

Designers are increasingly adding motion to their projects, from subtle logo animations to looping product demos, UI walk-throughs, and kinetic typography. These animated elements bring projects to life, offering a richer sense of craft and storytelling that go beyond static images. By showcasing process, interaction, and brand behavior, motion adds a dynamic edge and helps projects stand out.

Consider incorporating small moments of movement for context and storytelling in your next Behance project. Even subtle animated moments like a short loop of mockups or UI demos can elevate your project.

3. Profiles, Personalized

With Behance Pro, creatives are personalizing their profiles to better reflect their identity and present their work more intentionally. Pro members are switching to dark theme for an elevated look, adding custom sections to merchandize their portfolio, and using custom CTAs on projects to increase engagement. These Pro features help creatives showcase their strengths at a glance, making it easier for clients to understand their work.

“Sections have made the biggest impact for me. They allow me to present my work in a curated and professional layout. My inbound messages have increased significantly and Behance has become my number-one source for client inquiries," says graphic designer Mohadeseh Mahd.

"Upgrade

Upgrade to Behance Pro today to take full advantage of all the personalization features including dark theme, custom buttons on your profile, individual CTAs on your projects, and more. If Behance Trends reveal how creatives share their work, Creative Trends reveal what they’re making and the aesthetics that defined Behance’s most celebrated projects this year.

1. Sunkissed Sierra

"Screenshot

Warm, earthy orange tones emerged as a popular color choice among the top projects shared on Behance this year. Versatile enough for both minimalist and more expressive applications, Sunkissed Sierra is a reinterpretation of vintage color stories with a fresh, contemporary glow. Designers embraced this rich tint to bring grounded warmth to packaging, editorial layouts, and branding systems.

“These sun-drenched hues create a mood that feels calm, nostalgic, and comforting, like late-afternoon light when everything feels softer and slower. When people see these tones, they feel a gentle warmth and a sense of ease, an emotional softness," says brand designer Michelle Deborah, who goes by ARTSBY EMDE on Behance.

Michelle used Sunkissed Sierra for her client Kokoro Coffee: “This color makes a brand feel crafted with care, approachable, and modern at the same time. It signals that the brand values detail and quality, but it also has a playful, human side.”

2. Type by Hand

"Screenshot

Handwritten lettering made a major comeback this year, from loosely doodled scripts to expressive logotypes inspired by brush strokes. This organic typography brings a distinctly human touch to branding and packaging, particularly in food, beverage, and craft-focused industries. The imperfect, personality-filled letterforms capture authenticity, playfulness, and emotional warmth. It’s a reminder that in an increasingly digital world, elements made by the human hand still resonate deeply.

"Quote

When creating the branding and identity for interior design brand Piropo, graphic designer María Centeno chose hand-drawn letterforms to bring a sense of playful elegance. “The lettering drawn by hand with a fairly ordinary, almost school-like marker gave it a very intimate and personal tone,” she explains. Paired with the intentional spacing of each letter, the logo strikes a balance between familiarity and elegance, giving the brand a distinctive, thoughtfully crafted identity.

3. Flower Power

"Screenshot

Flowers and natural forms have long served as inspiration for artists. Flower Power marks a new evolution of that inspiration. Rather than leaning into realism, designers abstracted botanicals into geometric silhouettes, playful modular arrangements, and sharply stylized icons. It’s a crisp, modern interpretation of nature that adds clarity, impact, and optimism to packaging, branding, and 3D art.

According to branding and packaging designer Fulya Kuzu, the appeal of abstract florals lies in their ability to escape the clichés and romantic tropes of traditional flower imagery. Reduced to their most essential shapes, these motifs “are free from common cliches and their romantic attributes, while still keeping the strong warm, fresh associations but in a cleaner, more contemporary way.”

Miyako Iced Matcha by Fulya Kuzu

Fulya applied this approach to Miyako Iced Matcha, using bold, abstract blooms to evoke friendly positivity: “Customers feel instant warmth, nurture, and positivity that gives a sense of emotional connection. The brand feels thoughtful, intentional, and caring, while being extremely contemporary at the same time.”
