Tips from the public are often helpful to OCI and the FDA. Although we cannot answer every email, we will make every effort to follow up on the information you submit. The FDA is a regulatory agency first and foremost, and responsibility for enforcing the laws related to FDA-regulated products is shared between OCI and other components of the FDA.

When submitting a tip, please complete the following and provide as detailed information as possible for each field.

Common issues that do not fall under the FDA's jurisdiction include:

  • Restaurant food and sanitation
  • The practice of medicine
  • Criminal violations involving illegal drugs
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Dispensing or sales practices of a pharmacy
