Give!Local Project Now Closed

A huge thanks to everyone who donated funds, over $107,000. And rousing cheer to our sponsors — Ingles and the Orange Peel — and to the businesses that donated goods and services.

We expect to have a final tally in January of the total funds raised and will be sending incentive packages to all donors of $250 or more later the month.

Local business interested in sponsoring, advertising or otherwise taking part in next year’s Give!Local campaign are asked to email [email protected]

The Give!Local project is designed to facilitate end-of-year giving, generate new donors and provide publicity for a select group of local nonprofits. We’ve found we need at least 35 nonprofits to make the project robust, but we need to limit the group to 50 or less to keep the project manageable. We also make sure to include big, medium and little nonprofits, and that their focus is on diverse sectors, including community, youth, animals, arts, environment and social justice.
