A vibrant network dedicated to leadership, learning and their inter-connection.
Leadership. Learning. Two ideas at the heart of education. Both are complex, open to widely differing interpretations and the subject of continuing debate among academics, policymakers and practitioners. The LfL network is concerned with both concepts and particularly with their connection, seeking to understand and share knowledge about leadership in education that supports learning.

Seminar Programme - Spring term 2016
Students as agents in pedagogical change
Thursday 28th January, 4 - 5pmJoin Year 11 students from Passmores Academy to engage in dialogue surrounding effective and meaningful teaching and learning strategies and initiatives, within lessons, and within the wider context of education. The students will discuss their experiences of working towards completing a Higher Project (mini research thesis) in an area of their choice. Many of these students have also been involved in driving pedagogical change by teaching and observing lessons, engaging in regular dialogue with teaching and non teaching staff, and delivering CPD sessions, within their school and at conferences across the country. Passmores Academy is a secondary school in Harlow and recently featured in the Educating Essex series.
A Good Educational Read
Wednesday 27th January and Tuesday 8th March, 5.15- 6.30pmLfL will be hosting two seminars on 'a good educational read' this spring, where we invite distinguished colleagues to look back on their careers in education and select books and articles they would recommend.
Maurice Galton will be in conversation with John MacBeath in January, whilst Professor Mary James will be talking with Sue Swaffield later in March. Each will discuss their chosen 8 publications and their contribution to educational thinking, practice and policy.
Everyone is welcome at our seminars. There is no charge. To confirm attendance, please email the network here [lfl@educ.cam.ac.uk].
