Undergraduate Study

Financing your studies

Whichever university you apply to, you need to consider the cost of your tuition and your living (or ‘maintenance’) costs. These amounts can seem daunting but there's lots of support available to help you finance your studies.

The details in this section are for UK/EU students. If you're from outside the EU, including Islands students (from the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man), you should check International fees and costs for details.

Tuition Fees

As at most English universities, in 2016-17 the tuition fees for UK/EU students studying for an undergraduate degree at Cambridge are £9,000 per year for all courses. Find out more

Living Costs

'Living costs' cover whatever you need to pay for, excluding tuition fees, while you're at university. We’ve estimated that you should allow approximately £8,360 a year for your living costs in Cambridge (though this will vary depending on your lifestyle). Find out more

Financial Support

There are various sources of financial support available to help towards your costs at Cambridge. These fall into two broad categories: government financial support and Cambridge financial support. Find out more

Music Awards

Are you an organist, a singer/chorister or instrumentalist of a very high standard? If you’d like to combine specialist musical experience with a Cambridge degree, you should consider applying for one of our Music Awards. Find out more
