The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) provides advice, information and support to students with a disability. There are special advisers who can assist in providing information and appropriate support to enable you to obtain the service and equipment needed to facilitate your study here. If you are awarded funding from one of the seven main Research Councils, you will be eligible to apply for Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs) from your funding body. If you are a home student funded by a body that does not have Disabled Students' Allowances or if you are applying as a self-funded home graduate student with a disability you might be eligible for DSAs from The Students Loan Company to help support you in your graduate studies whilst at Cambridge.

If you have disclosed a disability, when considering your college choices you will need to think carefully about your accommodation requirements. Please note that most colleges have a mixture of accommodation, much of which is not on-site. Even where a college appears to be fairly central, the accommodation it is able to provide may not be. Colleges are often able to give priority to accommodating disabled graduates, but you should be aware that many colleges are unable to provide accommodation for every graduate college member.

The University welcomes applications from disabled students including those with a specific learning difficulty or a long-term health condition (including mental health difficulties) and considers them on the same academic grounds as all other candidates.

Your application will not be adversely affected by declaring a disability, and it will be processed in exactly the same way as any other application.
