Departments A-Z

Map and How To Reach Us

Where we are

The Faculty is about a mile south of Cambridge's city centre. Cambridge is in the east of England, 50 miles north of London. It is well served by road and rail links, and is within easy distance of the major London airports, particularly Stansted.

Please use the right hand menu for travel details along with the Maps pages.

One Campus

The four buildings we occupy on our one campus are the Donald McIntyre Building, the Mary Allan Building, Trumpington House and the Science Education Centre. The main Reception desk is in the Donald McIntyre Building, entered from Harrison Drive, off Hills Road. See also Contact Us.

Access for Disabled Users

The Donald McIntyre Building, Mary Allan Building and Science Education Centre are fully wheelchair accessible. For access to Trumpington House  contact Reception +44 (0)1223 767600. For information regarding the Faculty liaison officer, our student code and the University's Disability Resources Centre please visit http://www.cam.ac.uk/cambuniv/disability/accguide/faculties/ed.html

Walking or cycling

If coming on foot or cycling, we recommend the Local and Campus maps.

There are bicycle lanes on both side of Hills Road for most of the route.

Car parking and bicycle bays

A parking permit application can be accessed online from our car and parking page. There are disabled parking places at both the Donald McIntyre and Mary Allan Buildings. Covered bicycle bay areas are at the front and rear of the Donald McIntyre building and outside  the front of Mary Allan. (See Maps).
