Frequent Questions
|

- Does Etnopedia require a login to view information? No login is required to view the information. However, to edit pages you must create a user and confirm your email address.
- Who runs Etnopedia? Etnopedia is an international community of many Christian individuals who coordinate their own language portals.
- How accurate is the information? Etnopedia has a date on each of the people profiles so that you can see when it was last updated. You can see the sources on the "discussion" tab of each people profile page. The sources are only available on the English language portal.
- Why are all the people groups not on Etnopedia? Etnopedia is in the process of adding the people groups. Join the effort!
- How can I be involved? Etnopedia needs translators, researchers, promoters, updaters and donors. See: Community Portal
- How many unreached people groups are there in the world? No one knows. An estimated 75-80% of the world's ethnic peoples have been identified. Presently there are about 11,500 identified (known) peoples depending on the sources you use (and not dividing the peoples by every country they live in). Of these, about 5,000 are unreached! In other words, most sources you use will not be a complete list. For complete lists see Countries with the grey icons to the right. Also the language list is not complete. Researchers are still identifying and surveying previously unknown or unclassified languages. So there could be as many as 7,000 unreached people groups. No one knows. If you would like to be involved in research or translation of unreached people information into your language, contact Etnopedia.
- How does Etnopedia deal with Diaspora, Migration and Mega People Groups? See: Mega Peoples for an explanation.
