About the Sainsbury Lab

The Sainsbury Laboratory was opened in 2011 by HM the Queen and won the Stirling Prize in 2012. The building comprises laboratories, support areas, and meeting spaces, together with the University’s Herbarium, new public café and an auditorium where academic symposia and public talks are held.
