Founded in 1885, Hughes Hall is known as Cambridge’s oldest graduate college, supporting Masters and Doctoral students across the academic spectrum. As well as welcoming the full diversity of scholarship available in the University, the College has a long and pioneering tradition of training in Education, and distinctive strengths in fields that span academic and professional worlds. Medicine and the Biological sciences, the various domains of Engineering including physical and applied Mathematical sciences, the study of Law, as well as studies in Business and Economics, including Land Economy, are core areas of academic interest in the College.
