Data is the bedrock of science and the Internet enables elements of data from laboratories around the world to be collected together. New discoveries lie dormant in this ocean of data - but only if we devise the right tools for discovery.

At the Centre for Molecular Informatics within the Department of Chemistry at Cambridge powerful computers enable us to research in silico novel molecular properties from this data.  With our partners around the world, in academia and industry, we are devising new methods of creating, manipulating and describing molecular data and new laboratory experiments to confirm our findings.
