Peer2Peer is a student-run programme offering confidential, informal support to undergraduates, graduates, and post-docs in Cambridge. Students play an essential role in supporting and encouraging one another on a day-to-day basis, and this programme has been developed in recognition of that.
“Peer2Peer supporters are friends and fellow students and therefore much more integrated into the Cambridge network than other support systems.”

The Peer2Peer supporters are students from the participating colleges. They have been fully trained and receive ongoing, regular supervision to ensure the continual development of their skills. Supporters are available to chat with you about anything weighing on your mind—no problem is too big or small!
We adhere to a strict system of values: active listening, non-judgement, responsiveness, and confidentiality. Our aim is not to provide you with an answer but to encourage you to open up and talk through the issues or worries you might be having, in a safe and comfortable environment.
“It is more like a support that peers instill into other peers to make them self-empowered to deal with those issues in the future.”
